Tahunanui Beach
Tahunanui translates to 'big sandbank' and is Nelson's gateway to beautiful Tasman Bay. This is the beach of my childhood and is full of memories of swimming, sunburn, the playground, picnics and hours spent exploring the rockpools. I painted Tahunanui Beach in winter colours from the eastern end looking towards Mt Arthur range.
